I am 24 years old and from Lawrenceville, GA. I’ve been active all my life in sports and have a passion for improving not only my fitness but also helping other people better their own. I started dabbling with Crossfit and Crossfit-type workouts about 2 years ago while in the military, and did my first real WOD about a year later. I’ll never forget the experience.  I had never worked out so hard.  After I finished, I crawled out into the parking lot to throw up while the trainer laughed at me and took pictures. Needless to say, I was hooked.

About a month later my brother said he wanted to get his level one certification and we decided to go together and we both became certified the following December.

I have never experienced such a positive and energetic community, and I am committed to doing everything I can to see it grow. I think Crossfit offers something to everyone who tries it and the scalability of the system makes it accessible to anyone. I think it’s greatest strength is in it’s ability to offer an elite level of fitness to the groups that are normally ignored or scared away by the general fitness community. My personal favorite aspect is its broad spectrum of exercises and movements that can challenge anyone, and how it’s a perfect example of getting out what you put in.  All this led me to pursue becoming a trainer.  Shortly after moving to Athens, I began working with Adam at Crossfit Athens and have enjoyed it immensely, learning something new every day. I am also currently a student at UGA and enjoy Rugby, running, swimming, and the many other wonderful things Athens has to offer.
